01 Information We Collect

Data you create in the app

UI elements, actions, widgets, notes, reminders, and preferences you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

Purchase data

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We receive only the transaction status needed to unlock premium features. We do not see or store your payment information. In Shoof, subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous app user ID and your Apple transaction receipt to validate the subscription.

Shoof: anonymous account and learning data

Shoof signs you in with an anonymous account (a random identifier created by Firebase Authentication) so that your saved words, review progress, saved clips, hidden channels, and any feedback you post on the in-app board can be stored in our cloud database (Google Firebase) and restored on the same device. No name, email address, or password is collected. Feedback you post on the board is visible to other Shoof users under an anonymous label.

Shoof: usage analytics and crash reports

Shoof uses PostHog to collect anonymous product analytics (for example which screens are opened, clips watched, words saved, onboarding answers such as your level and daily goal) and crash reports, linked to the same anonymous identifier. This helps us understand how the app is used and fix problems. Analytics do not include your name, contacts, or precise location. Session recordings are not enabled.

Shoof: video and audio services

Videos in Shoof are streamed from YouTube through the official YouTube player, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. When you tap a word or play its pronunciation, the word text is sent to our servers to generate an explanation or audio; these results are cached and are not tied to you.

02 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, health data, or any other personally identifying information. Garage Widgets and Habitra have no user accounts and no server-side database of your data. Shoof stores only the anonymous learning data described above.

03 How Your Data Is Used

• On-device data is used solely to provide the app's core functionality: tracking data, showing statistics, scheduling reminders, and displaying widgets.
• Shoof cloud data is used to sync your vocabulary and progress, enforce fair-use limits on word explanations and audio, and show community feedback. Analytics are used only to improve the app.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third-party marketers.

04 Notifications

If you enable reminders, Zyntek schedules local notifications on your device using iOS's notification system. These reminders never leave your device.

05 Data Retention and Deletion

For Garage Widgets and Habitra, all data lives on your device. You can delete all of it at any time from Settings → Data Management → Delete All Data, or by uninstalling the app. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Firebase according to Google's retention policy.

For Shoof, you can permanently delete your anonymous account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete cloud data. Analytics data held by PostHog is retained according to its retention policy and is not linked to any personal identity. You can also email info@zyntekapp.com with your user ID (shown at the bottom of Settings) to request deletion.

06 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
